The microchip is contained in a biocompatible glass capsule, which is coated to prevent tissue irritation and microchip migration. The microchip, each of which has a unique identification number, is permanent and will last the life of your pet. When your pet is registered in a pet recovery database, the identification number links your pet to your contact information.
